Mesquite barbecue skewered potatoes are a great way to celebrate grilling and summer with their smoky wonderful flavor.

- Small bowl
- Wooden skewers
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs Little Potatoes
- (For brushing) olive oil
Mesquite Seasoning:
- 1 Tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried mustard
- 1/2 tsp sage
- 1/2 tsp rosemary
- 1/8 tsp cayenne
- 1/4 tsp ancho chili powder
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1 tsp salt

Step 1
Boil the potatoes for 14 minutes or until just tender. Let cool and then divide onto four skewers. Make ahead and leave at room temperature until ready to grill.

When ready to grill, mix the seasoning ingredients together in a small bowl. Brush the potatoes on both sides with olive oil. Sprinkle the seasoning on all sides of the potatoes to get an even coating of spices.

Grill two minutes per side or until grill marks appear and potatoes are heated through.
